George Christie

It is with sadness that we learn of the passing of our former player George Christie who died on Saturday 24th April at the Western General Hospital Edinburgh having suffered a stroke the previous week. George played for the club from 1966-68 having signed from East Fife. He was off course a centre forward and scored an impressive 16 goals in 38 appearances for the club, one of these appearances off course was against Glasgow Rangers in that Scottish Cup victory where he supplied the pass for Sammy Reid's goal. His funeral is due to take place at 12 noon at Lorimer Chapel, Warriston Crematorium, Edinburgh on Tue 4th May
