GOOD RESULT AGAINST SAINTS
Our final pre season friendly on Friday 23 July at Shielfield ended goalless against virtually a full strength SPL outfit St Johnstone. There were many pleasing points from our performance with several players standing out and we now hope we can take this forward to next wekend when we travel to play Peterhead in the Co-op Insurance Cup. Peterhead beat Montrose 5-0 on sat 24th in the Alba Cup and will be tough opponents.
In truth we missed excellent chances late on to win the St Johnstone game. Our starting X1 was: Peat: Notman, McLeod, McLean, Smith: McLaren, Currie, Greenhill, McMullan: Gribben and Brazil
Saints included in their line up Graeme Smith, Danny Grainger, Kevin Rutkiewicz, Michael Duberry, Liam Craig, Sam Parkin, Collin Samuel, Cleveland Taylor, Jamie Adams, Steven Milne etc.
ALBA CUP
The draw for Round Two takes place at Hampden on Tuesday (27th) and Berwick jin 15 others in the draw with matches on Tues/Wed. 10th and 11th August
