The former Forfar Athletic player was the first of Berwicks close season (last term) signings. The twenty six year old defender started his career with Montrose and this is his second spell as a Berwick Rangers player.

Smith making 8 first team appearances during the course of the 2004/2005 season. Elliot has also played for East Fife before spending the last couple of seasons on the books of Forfar Athletic.
